A British tea clipper that the famous Christian missionary Hudson Taylor sailed on.

Built in 1837, Dumfries sailed in the tea trade until 1854 from Liverpool to China annually. On September 19, 1853, Hudson Taylor left Liverpool and the Dumfries would remain at sea for five months and a half. This ship reached China on March 1, 1854. On April 11th, 1854, she was wrecked on a reef; fortunately, everyone was saved.
