The Celtic

The farthest ship away from the RMS Titanic, the Celtic sped towards the Titanic to assist from 798 miles away. Picking up the distress call at 12:50 AM, the ship's captain valiantly turned to go back despite the long distance. It was only at 5:30 AM when they were told, at the 400 mile mark, they were not needed. They turned back, but they should be granted credit for being willing to assist a stricken ship nearly 800 miles away.
