Built in 1849, and made her first voyage in 130 days from New York to California. Wrecked on a reef in 1859. The first of Donald McKay's Cape Horner's, Forbes rigged. She was lost on a reef near Zambales, Luzon, Philippines in 1859, carrying a valuable cargo on a voyage from San Francisco to Manila.
