The SS Arthur M. Anderson is a bulk freighter that carries all sorts of goods, from oil to iron ore. She was built in 1952. She was most famously the ship that heard the Edmund Fitzgerald's last transmission before she sank. She also is known for being the first freighter to search for survivors of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Tragically, none were ever found. The SS Arthur M. Anderson is often in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin's harbor, and thus while visiting his Grandparent's, User:Wedgeback has seen her 3 times, most recently in Easter 2013.
