The admiral of the large, but failed fleet, Sir Francis Drake

The heroic Drake, six years after the failed English armada set out on his final voyage. With six Royal Navy galleons and twenty-one other ships, Drake set out with John Hawkins, his ailing cousin. The voyage was a failure. Drake and his men were battered by Spanish galleons and guns. Hawkins died in August 1595 and Drake ultimately on January 27th 1596 died too.
